Staying in Sliema
Most of what visitors want in Malta is walkable from Sliema. The promenade runs along the coast towards St Julian's in one direction and the Ferries terminal in the other, where fast boats cross Marsamxett Harbour to Valletta. Buses along the seafront reach Mdina, the airport and the south of the island.
Swimming in Sliema means flat rock shelves and lidos rather than sand, with ladders into deep, clear water and open views back towards the capital. The Tigné Point side adds a shopping centre and quieter waterfront walks, while Tower Road is where the town eats and watches the sunset.
It suits guests who want to arrive, park the car and forget it: shops, pharmacies, supermarkets and restaurants are all a few minutes on foot, and the nightlife of Paceville stays comfortably one bay further away.
Valletta by ferry
The Sliema Ferries terminal crosses Marsamxett Harbour to Valletta, avoiding the road around the harbour.
Seafront promenade
A continuous coastal walk links Sliema to St Julian's, lined with cafés, restaurants and swimming lidos.
Everything on foot
Supermarkets, pharmacies, bus routes and restaurants sit within the same few streets as the apartments.
